Stratton Upper School is celebrating School Diversity Week (21-25 June)

Stratton Upper School is celebrating School Diversity Week (21-25 June).

We want to make sure that every child in our school reaches their potential and does their best. One way we are going to do this is by taking part in School Diversity Week.

School Diversity Week, organised by the charity Just Like Us (justlikeus.org), was launched with the support of the Department for Education. In 2021, schools representing over two million pupils are signed up to take part.

The focus of the week is celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT+) equality in education. Our school community is diverse in many ways, and this is just one of them.

Year 9 and y12 pupils will take part in diversity activities with tutors and/or subject staff throughout the week.

Year 10 are involved in mock exams all week, so subject staff have been asked to postpone diversity activities until the following week.

All students are invited to part in online masterclasses- a unique educational opportunity to learn about a range of exciting topics, from poetry and history to faith and economics.

Masterclasses are watchable here: Masterclasses (justlikeus.org)*
