As a result of our move to CMAT on 1st October 2020, we are currently updating many of our local school policies.

The Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust through the Trust Board and its Policy and Scrutiny Committees and the Executive Committee (Principals’ Committee) establishes many trust-wide policies relating to safeguarding, student welfare, teaching and learning, personnel and finance. These can be found on the CMAT website here.

 All staff, Trustees and Governors are aware of their statutory responsibilities with respect to safeguarding
 Staff, Trustees and Governors are properly trained in recognising and reporting safeguarding issues

2. Legislation and Statutory Guidance
This policy is based on the Department for Education’s statutory guidance, Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children, and the Governance Handbook. We comply with this guidance and the procedures set out by our local safeguarding children board.
